Who founded MoonMars Museum
MoonMars Museum was founded by Marieke Feenstra and Johanna Nyqvist. It is the first museum on the Moon: it landed at Mare Crisium on 2 March 2025 aboard the Firefly Blue Ghost lunar lander, and four of the twenty wells in this tray are its own.
Marieke Feenstra
Co-founder
Photographer and creative technologist from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Founder of Paladin Punks, Wad of Wonders and The Brand Building. Her work lives where art, technology and future-facing media meet, capturing time in minimalism and authenticity. It has taken her around the world, where she is always drawn to nature for inspiration.
Johanna Nyqvist
Co-founder
Multidisciplinary artist and curator from Stockholm, Sweden. Founder of Vavortex, an AI art community. Her work runs modernist influences through new techniques, and she was early to embrace AI as a tool for artists. Her work has been exhibited around the world, from New York to Tokyo.
